I'm playing on ULCA/Long Beach State UNDER the total. The Bruins last game was very high-scoring, due to it going to multiple OT periods. Thats not going to happen tonight. Instead, we'll see the Bruins dominate defensively. Note that the UNDER is 12-6 over the last two years, when UCLA was off a game where it scored 80 or more points. UCLA turned the corner part way through last season and brings back the same starters. The biggest reason was that the players started buying into and understanding Cronin's defense. Remember, that in the nine years before coming here, Cronin's Cincy teams never ranked worse than 28th nationally in adjusted defensive efficiency, according to the metrics of Ken Pom, including second during the 2017-18 season.Tonight, Cronin will face the same team that he made his ULCA debut against, Long Beach State. While the 49'ers also brought back a lot from last year, they were a very poor offensive team last season. Last year's game had an O/U line of 144.5 and finished with 134. Look for this one to also prove lower-scoring than most will be expecting.
