Last night’s Game One of this All-Ohio Interleague series went UNDER the Total. The OU line was 8 runs in the Gray vs Plesac matchup… and the final score was just 3 to 2. Both teams combined for just 9 total hits in that one. It looks like tonight’s Game Two will follow a similar form. Especially with Cleveland’s BEST pitcher taking the hill. That would be right-hander Shane Bieber. He’s come out of the 2020 gate SMOKIN’. In his two starts thus far, Bieber has pitched 14 innings of SHUTOUT ball. That’s an ERA of 0.00 if you are doing the math. And his K-BB ratios are quite simply dominant. Bieber went 6 innings vs the Royals on July 24th, with a 14 to 1 K-BB ratio… and won the game 2-0. Then on July 30th, Bieber pitched 8 shutout innings against the BEST offense in all of Baseball (Minnesota Twins). In that one, he has 13 K’s with ZERO walks… and also won by an identical score of 2-0. So that makes it a spectacular 27 to 1 so far in terms of his strikeouts and walks. As a result of his great stat-lines, it’s no surprise that the Indians are the #1 UNDER Team in all of Baseball. They’ve gone 1-10 O/U in their 11 games thus far, with a very LOW offensive average of only 2.5 runs per game. But a GREAT average of only 2.5 runs per game ALLOWED. That’s right. Cleveland games are averaging only 5.0 combined runs per game. While righty Tyler Mahle of the host Reds doesn’t have the dominating makeup of his counterpart… He’ll still be ok for us UNDER bettors. He allowed only 2 earned runs in his only other start thus far. And he’ll be backed by some decent Cincy UNDER Team Trends. The REDS have been a solid UNDER team as of late in Interleague play (8-20-2 O/U last 30 versus the American League). Also 3-9-2 after allowing 2 < runs in their last game… 8-21 O/U dating back to last season on TUESDAYS… 3-8-1 O/U in Game Two of a series… and 4-12-2 O/U when playing odd a WIN in their last game…..

We will have a Man in Blue that supports our call this evening. Working behind the dish in tonight’s Game Two will be JORDAN BAKER. He’s worked two games already in the 2020 season and BOTH of ‘em went Under the Total. On July 26th, he worked the Pirates vs Cardinals game (OU line was 9) and the final score was 5-1. On July 31st, he worked the INDIANS vs Twins game (OU lime was 9), and the final score was just 4-1. S a good start in earths of UNDERS for Baker. Those results are no surprise. Baker has gone 22-38-3 O/U in the last two seasons, good for an UNDER percentage of 63%. He’s gone even better in h9s INTERLEAGUE games, with a 67% UNDER percentage. And finally, in ‘Right vs Righty’ pitching matchups… he’s gone 12-25 O/U in the same time frame. Final score tonight in the Queen City: Cleveland 4 - Cincinnati 1…
