Tampa Bay Bucs +3
I have this one at -1.8
NO. The Saints are coming off a game
where they failed to score a TD, yet still came away with a win (4 FG’s). Clearly the defensive effort in that one was
sky-high, and seeing that unit maintain the same performance level for the
second week in a row is probably expecting a bit too much. For the season, Saints rank 24th
defensively, which is another confirmation that they’ve played above
expectation last week. What this game
will come down to is Bridgewater, and I simply don’t have much faith in
him. Bridgewater ranks 29th
in Efficiency, 35th in QBR, and 35th in PY/A at 4.9. He’s not a good NFL QB at this point of his
career. Throw in the fact that the Bucs
have the #1 ranked run-D, and all signs point to a really tough spot for this
NO offense. New Orleans has won with
defense and special teams the last two weeks, but they’ll have to compete with
their offense in this one and based on what I’ve seen, they’ll struggle doing so.
