I have two major issues here with the Cubs and it does not take a Rhodes scholar to figure out what they are. First of all is Jon Lester and secondly is the Cubs stink away from Wrigley this season. The Cubs are a lousy 22-35 on the road this season and that has to just drive Joe Madden nuts. On the flip side the Reds are six games over .500 and believe it or not only six games out in that crazy central division. Lester has been smoked his last couple of starts and the launching pad that Cincinnati can be does not bode well for him. The Cubs have won only three games in their last dozen in Cincinnati. And one of Lesters last seven starts out on the road. The Reds counter with Luis Castillo and yes, he has been effective in the past going up against the Cubs. Nothing much here inspires me to reach with the Cubs other than the stale old due factor. I say the Reds are the right side here more often than not. And that is the name of the game guys. Let's go with the Reds to send the home fans home happy and leave the ball park sunday afternoon only 5 games out. Many sincere thanks as always and best of luck to each of us. Enjoy the game.
