I expect those stats to improve this evening. Hill has been faring much better against left-handed hitters than he has against right-handed ones. For this reason, the Dodgers pushed this start back, in order for him to face the Reds (who have a lot of left-handed bats in their lineup) instead of the Padres. He hasn't pitched here at Cincy for a long time but the last time that he did, he allowed just one hit through six shutout innings. Desclafini has a solid 3.27 ERA and 1.091 WHIP at home. His last four starts against the Dodgers have all produced nine or fewer combined runs. In fact, three of those finished with less than five runs. Look for this one to prove lower-scoring than most will be expecting, the UNDER improving to 5-1 when the Reds were listed as home underdogs.
