Analysis

1-star (862) Virginia -10.5 over Oklahoma. 7:45pm ET. I think we're getting some solid value on Virginia here. First, there's been an overreaction to their first half struggle vs Gardner-Webb as the Cavaliers dominated the second half and nearly covered the entire game spread. Keep in mind, Virginia is still 23-10 ATS on the season. Second, we have an Oklahoma team that is being overrated in the market place after putting up 95 points vs Ole Miss in the first round. The Sooners shot an incredible 57.6% from the field (their 2nd best performance this season) and the reality is this Oklahoma offense is average ranking No. 176 in effective FG %. I highly doubt they will have similar success vs a Virginia is No. 1 in the country in defending the 3-point shot and No. 23 in defending the 2-point shot.

Small Lean (863/864) Central Florida/Duke UNDER 143.5. 5:15pm ET. Generally speaking, I think all the attention surrounding Zion Williamson makes Duke overrated in the market place. Since the public really comes into the market place this time of year (really it starts after the Super Bowl), it's no surprise that Duke is on a 3-9 ATS run in their last 12 games. People also love betting the OVER in Duke games but the Blue Devils' No. 5 defense doesn't get enough credit and Duke is 8-2 to the UNDER in their last 10 games. UCF does run a slow tempo (No. 309) and that should be their game plan if they want to make it close here.

Small Lean (865) Iowa +8 over Tennessee. 12:10pm ET. We have a clear match-up advantage for a big dog here. The one weakness Tennessee has is defending the three as the Volunteers allow 35% from 3-point range (No. 210 in the country). Meanwhile, that's arguably Iowa's best strength on offense as they hit 36.5% from downtown and they fully took advantage of a Cincinnati defense that struggled defending the 3 in round one. Also note that the Big Ten has greatly exceeded expectations so far in the NCAA tournament as after going 7-1 in round one, the Big Ten has already punched three teams into the Sweet 16.

Small Lean (868) North Carolina -12 over Washington. 2:40pm ET. Remember the Tar Heels see Washington's 2-3 Syracuse style zone defense every year and the Tar Heels have had great success vs that zone including putting up 93 points on Syracuse earlier this season. North Carolina should dominate the boards and take advantage of Washington's No. 345 defensive rebounding %. I also don't expect Washington to hit a season-high 10 of 17 (58.8%) from 3-point range like the Huskies did in their first round win over Utah St.
