First things' first in that Wright lost at Northern Kentucky earlier this season by four, so it's a home revenge/rematch which is always a great option to start with.Wright State hasn't lost at home since an OT game with UIC back in December, and they're a game behind UIC in the Horizon League for first place, and given that this Conference isn't getting any auto-bids that makes this one that much more important going forward. Wright has played a tougher Conference schedule, and in fact Northern Kentucky has played the second easiest Horizon League schedule. Norther Kentucky has six losses this season and all of them have come on the road, and they haven't WON on the road since beating Youngstown State and Cleveland State (who both suck) almost a month ago. Wright State also played a much tougher non-conference schedule. In Conference play they have the #1 defense and while NKY has the #1 offense, I go back to strength of schedule, and we would always want to be backing the better defense. NKY's perimeter defense is exceptional, but Wright plays offense around the rim so that doesn't have a huge impact. Wright is also a 76% FT shooting team and spends a fair bit of time there - and we know from experience that home teams get the benefit of calls. Wright has a turnover advantage statistically as is the #1 rebounding them in the Conference on defense and they're right up there on offense. If I were of the mind and this weren't a smaller conference where anything can happen, I'd have made this play even bigger. That's all I got.
