The Mizzou Tigers will be gunning for their third straight winner Friday night hosting Oral Roberts. Mizzou knocked off a solid Central Florida club sunday and then followed that up with a spanking of Texas Arlington by 20 points. The team is seemingly starting to come to grips with the unexpected blow of losing Jontay Porter to injury for the season. If that sounds like a familiar challenge is certainly is as they endured the same fate last year with his big brother Michael. But coach Martin seems to be getting his rotation figured out. Now if it seems the odds makers are trying to make Oral Roberts appealing with this number, well they are. In a word, this team is just bad. I am admittedly not crazy about laying the big number with the Tigers but please keep in mind this Oral Roberts team got smoked by a very average Missouri State team by 34 points. They lost to Califonia Baptist, they got crushed by 20 to Northern Illinois. Mizzou knows they are not yet in any position to take anyone too lightly as they clearly demonstrated against Texas Arlington earlier this week. Important to note that the Tigers are also expected to welcome back highly regarded 6-8 sophomore guard K.J Santos to the rotation providing Martin with some much needed depth. The Tigers simply outclass this team and provided they just don't have a miserable night shooting the rock they should prevail here. Stronger down in the post and guard play plus the better defense spells solid winner here in Columbia. I am not going triple here as I just don't recklessly toss those around. But I do expect the Tigers to win this thing with no real drama for us. Take Martin and his Tigers to take care of business. Many sincere thanks as always and best of luck to each of us.
