We love the situation here for SMU. The Ponies, at 5-6 have everything to play for as they need a win to get to bowl eligibility. SMU has played a tough schedule this year and all of their losses are to solid teams (North Texas, TCU, Michigan, UCF, Cincy and Memphis). Tulsa, meanwhile is NOT a solid team as the Golden Hurricane are on a 1-15 SU run vs FBS opponents and their only win is against UConn, the worst team in the FBS this season. One team needs it like blood, one team doesn't. It's as simple as that.
