The Huskers are certainly playing their best ball of the season as they have covered 6 straight games vs Big Ten teams. Last week Nebraska trailed 3-0 entering the 4Q. They got 3 FG’s from their frosh kicker including a 47-yarder with 5:13 left. It was the first time the Cornhuskers had won a game without scoring a TD since a 3-0 victory over Kansas State in 1937. “Every week I’ve been coaching them there’s a little more fight. Today’s the most I’ve seen, said first-year Huskers coach Scott Frost. Speaking of fight, Iowa showed plenty of it last week. Off 3 straight losses they hammered Illinois 63-0. Iowa had 20-11 first down and 400-220 yard edges and benefited from 4 Illinois TO’s (Iowa scored 2 non-offensive TD’s). Iowa, in their last home game was laying doubles to Northwestern and lost outright and we feel Nebraska is just as good.
