The Cyclones crushed the Zips last year 41-14 as 10.5-point road favorites. Last week Iowa St was without QB Kyle Kempt but backup Zeb Noland had a great game with 360 pass yards in the Cyclones’ respectable cover over Oklahoma. Meanwhile, Akron got their first win over a Big Ten team since 1894 in their upset over Northwestern. It was arguably the most misleading score of the season so far as the Zips trailed 21-3 at halftime but got 3 defensive TD’s in the second half. They were out-FD’d 30-15 and out-gained 491-357. Now they go back on the road again taking on an 0-2 Iowa St team that is in desperate need of a win. We love the home team to roll.
