I am going to pass on the chalk here and play the Dodgers here to bounce back strong after that rough game Monday night. These clubs playing out the string can be a pain as the Dodgers learned and as the Cardinals learned this past weekend in Detroit. They are playing loose and believe me, they all love playing spoiler. Time for the Dodgers to step up their game. They are clearly playing both for the division as well as the possible wild card berth. I do expect them to respond and come up big for us here with Ryu taking the ball. I do not hang my hat on trends as a rule because if you scratch around enough doing your prep work you can generally find some kind of trend to support either cause. Just so much of it is, well, bullshit. But the fact is the Dodgers are a very solid 13-3 in their last sixteen road game when squaring off against teams that sport a losing home record. Well, enter the Reds. Fact remains the Reds are indeed a last place ball club and the Dodgers must take care of business here, particularly off the loss last night. I do think they will. If you want to lay the chalk you can, I am confident enough here I will go ahead with the run line.
