I'm not sure what the oddmakers see, but the Hawaii totals need to be in the 70's from what I see....The Hawaii offense has taken off the last two weeks with Cole McDonald doing what he wants through the air..He has passed for 850yards in two games and 9 TD's...The Rainbows offense is a fast paced throwing offense...On teh flip side the Hawaii defense is very bad...They have allowed a total of 950yards on defense...Yet they've won the first two games of the season even thought he defense is terrible..Might that catch up to them here?...I'm not certain but a shootout type of game looks to be on the horizon tonight...Rice is 1-1 on the season and they believe they have a shot here...Rice offense has been rather good in it's first two games...Total of almost 800yds gained in two games and almost 900yds surrendered on defense...So we got two teams that on defense have shown us they both stink....Rice has played to 59pts in game 1 and 72 in game two...Hawaii was 77pts in game 1 and 100 in game 2....Just the yardage alone says each team goes for 500+ yards on offense and they could allow 600+ on defense...So if we just divide up the numbers we could be looking at a game with a total of 1,000 yards gained and given up....So this total is wrong at 68.5 just at that..It should be more like 72.5 or 73.5, but these teams scoring 90 points combined looks very very possible. Rice has been going fast as well and because both defenses are so bad, the other team with a fast pace can score within 2 minutes...That means we will see a monster quarter with scoring..I won't be shocked if we see (2) qtrs with 5 TD's in each qtr...That's enough to cover the spread..Then we got 2 other qtrs...I know the books can't make this total 80pts just yet in the early season, but these two teams can and will put up big points...My prediction which is a big crazy, but what I've seen from both teams and the math says. 58-42 Final.
