We're buying Colorado low in this one after the Buffaloes are coming off a disappointing 5-7 season in 2017. While the Buffs only return 10 starters, they should be improved over last season. One of their returning starters is QB Steven Montez who is a Top 25 QB nationally and Colorado should have a much improved defensive line.
On the other side, Colorado State ranks dead last in returning experience (No. 130) as they lose their all-time passing TD leader in QB Nick Stevens, a 1,400 yard rusher in Dalyn Dawkins and an All-American WR in Michael Gallup (1,413 yards in 2017).
The Rams will have a game under belt advantage here over Colorado as they play Hawaii in Week Zero. However, that didn't help them a year ago as a week after crushing Oregon State, the Rams lost 17-3 vs Colorado. Now flash forward a year and we have a better Colorado team laying a reasonable number vs a much weaker Colorado Stat team.
