Hammel personally is 3-0 his last three against the Reds winning by a combined score of 22-3. Over those three starts (all 2016) he allowed a mere two runs, on just 11 hits, through 19 combined innings. While Hammel has gone six innings in each of his last two starts, Mahle rarely goes more than five. He's lasted five or fewer innings in five of his last six starts, incl each of his past three. Through seven road starts, Mahle has a poor 1.719 WHIP, averaging only 4.9 innings. With the Reds still just 67-91 (-13.5) vs. the ML the past 2+ seasons, when off a victory, expect the Rpyals to bounce back with AT LEAST a run-line cover this evening.
