Texas Tech is in rare air challenging for the Big 12 title. Next Saturday they host the Kansas Jayhawks in what could be the biggest game they have hosted in many years. Trust me, this is not the Pat Knight version of the Red Raiders. I am pretty sure Joe Public will look at the small number here and love Tech. I am seeing a Bear trap being set. Scott Drew's club typically finishes strong and it appears this season is no different. We cashed with them earlier this week at Texas and I am going right back to them here. I also always like having the revenge angle and that is clearly in play here after the first game in Lubbock where the Bears got smoked 77-53. The Red Raiders foul a lot and I think that will play into our favor down the stretch. You need to keep in mind in the first meeting the Bears were without Jo Lual-Acuil and Terry Maston was making his first start returning to the floor after breaking his hand. This is not going to be anything similar guys. Will be very important for the Bears to go strong to the hole, Texas Tech does not give you easy baskets down in the post. Bottom line is I think strongly this is a trap game waiting in Waco for the Red Raiders. I am going large here on Drew's Bears.
Now, we have won 10 of the lasts 12 and been on a nice run with the college ball But nothing is ever a lock or sure thing. I know most of you have heard it before but it's just the way it is. Playing a game with confidence is not the same as a sure thing or lock. Many sincere thanks and best of luck to all of us. Enjoy the game.
This will also be graded as a rabid dog. ADDED Saturday is NOTE: This is STILL a play. I see number has moved to Baylor laying a point. No worries on this one.
