This is another matter of the home/road splits as well as "on paper." DePaul is much improved over last season. This season they've already won eight games and both of the last two seasons they won a total of nine each year - so this is also Leitao's third year, and his players - so it's somewhat predictable. They've got four home losses, but three of them to Notre Dame, Villanova, and Northwestern, so no shame there. They did lose to G-Town which isn't a terrible loss, but G-Town has their moments. Providence only has one road win this season, at St. Johns. Last season give of their eight Conference losses were on the road - and DePaul beat them here by one, so now we've got a better DePaul team against a Providence team that's about the same, IMO. Providence come in off of a great home win against Xavier, and this could be a flat spot with Butler back home on Monday. DePaul is a little bigger, shoot better FT's, and defend the perimeter pretty well. In the end, DePaul should just win this game - they can't/won't be flat against anyone, yet.
