The Jazz have been the poster child for inconsistent thus far this season. As soon as you feel Quin Snyder's club has turned the corner they regress. I've had good success picking my spots with them. After a winning run they have now dropped back to back games losing to the Thunder and Rockets. They had the Thunder by the balls but let a large double digit lead slip away and blew one. That was the kind of loss that can linger. Then they were totally abused and dominated by the Rockets in a game at home no less that they were never really in. Now they are at a point in the young season that will tell a ton about what this team is made of. Milwaukee is the first leg of a six game tough road trip. A death march that includes stops in Cleveland, Boston, Houston and Oklahoma City again. It's a marathon season but this is indeed a important test for the Jazz. I want to take the Jazz from a rooting standpoint as they are admittedly my favorite team. But, as I try to stress fan emotion is the enemy of the handicapper. No room for it. I will take the Bucks here laying the short number. The Bucks have been rolling along of late and have won nine of their last twelve games on their home court. On the flip side the Jazz have only cashed the ticket in a lousy two of their last ten games taking the floor on one days rest. The home team has covered the number in fifteen of the last twenty one match ups in this series. Frankly sometimes trends are relevant and sometimes they are just BS. Truth is if you scratch around most generally you can find something to support either cause. I trust the Bucks right now more in this spot at home than the Jazz who just had a cold, harsh reality check against the high flying Rockets. Likely a close game with the Bucks closing it out down the stretch. I don't think this will be the start to the road trip Snyder needs. I look for the Jazz to rebound after a few days rest and take on the Bulls in the follow up game. But not here. I am going with the Bucks at home laying the small number.
