This number is wrong imo....I just don't understand this number, but it makes sense for the oddmakers to post this number....First off this San Diego St. team usually gets low totals because they run the ball and have a very good defense...Well this year is a bit different as they lost some of the better running backs in the country...Also lost some of the best defensive players on this team as well...Aztecs bring back 5 on offense and 6 on defense....I took a look at last weeks game and the Aztecs should have rolled UC Irvine...Well they didn't.....They scored 38 points, but let off the gas totally in the 4th qtr...They could of scored 50+....A few areas of concern first off with the San Diego St defense.....They allowed 315 yards to UC Irvine, but the Aggies turned the ball over 3 times...They actually moved the ball well on about half the drives...So going into this game against a team like Arizona st leads me to believe the Aztecs defense is down from last year....The UC Irvine passing game was actually very good 19-25 for 258 yards....So I really question the Aztecs defense right now.....We also had Arizona St UNDER in the first wager of our season...Everyone else had the over and we cashed in..Perhaps that game going under draws some concern and hold back from the oddmakers....I think they over adjusted for both teams coming into this game....Arizona St offense had 400 yards of total offense, which is fine, but they bogged down a few times...It was the first game which is very understandable....Another thing is the Sun Devils defense gave up 549 yards of offense to New Mexico St....That's not good at all and both the rushing and passing game worked well for New Mexico St.....San Diego St has shown just form the last gmae that they are playing more 50/50 type offense vs. a running team...So that can and will create the Sun Devils defense to be out of sorts..In short the Arizona St defense isn't that good and San Diego St who traditionally is a lower scoring team might just surprise with a high score total...The line on this game is close, so they expect a close game game..It looks like more of a shootout than a defensive game...This number ont he total is wrong...I made my number 66.5...I could see a 36-30 type of game.
