We cashed friday night with a rabid dog featured release and I am going right back to them here. Kicking myself for passing on them saturday as I thought I had a stronger release. The Cardinals continue to get more credibility for the brand than the current seasons results. Another classic case here guys. The Cardinals are struggling in a big way and after the GM came out publicly with his statement that basically the clock was ticking before changes would be made they have not come out of it. I take no pleasure in any of this, my long term clients know I am a die hard Cards fan. But I also see what I see and it cannot be ignored. Following the Cards like I do I know for a stone cold fact that have only won a mere three of Mike Leaks's last sixteen home starts at Busch. Not exactly inspiring going up against a Pirates team smelling blood in the water here and looking for a sweep of the series as they look to claw their own way back into the race. Something very feasible as the Cubs keep struggling themselves. Leake has not exactly been on his game of late to boot. The fan in me wants the Cards to win this game and elude the sweep but I cannot pull the trigger. This is a team in trouble. We are getting the Pirates at plus money and I think honestly more times than not here they win this game. Even if Leake steps it back up and comes out with a strong quality start the back end of the cards pen is a shell of it's former self. I feel strongly enough about it I am tagging the Bucs as our next rabid dog.
Okay, we have cashed on 7 of the last 8 rabid dogs but as we saw clearly with the Ray's as a big play yesterday nothing is certain. EVER. Just saying guys. We are on a strong 27-12 run with the featured releases but all that means is we have lost 12, we do not, and never will win them all. I just try to keep it real. Stay the course. Lot's of baseball to be played, we have not even hit the all star break yet.
Many sincere thanks as always and best of luck to all of us. Enjoy the ball game.
