Lot more drama than they wanted but the Cardinals rallied to knock off the Phillies again last night and now they look for the sweep with their ace on the bump. The Phillies are just a lousy team and seemingly invent ways to self destruct. Now they go up against Martinez and despite the chalk I will take the Birds to get the brooms out. The Cards have absolutely cruised lately against eastern division opponents winning the last twelve games. Carlos is admittedly not as strong on the road but when you factor in the Phillies are the 28th ranked team in the league when it comes to scoring I will take Martinez to put together a strong game here for us. Just next to impossible to trust this Philly offense against anyone, but Martinez, not much to ponder here in my view. I'm paying the price and stepping out with a triple on the Cardinals here. If St Louis seriously hopes to close the gap and fight for the division like they do every season these are the exact kind of games they must take care of business in. I say they do it.
