This is mostly a play AGAINST the red hot Yankees and partially a play ON the Angels.  The Yanks' Masahiro Tanaka was given an extra  day of rest in  hopes  of him breaking out of his prolonged slump.  In his last last 7 starts dating back to May 2, only 2 of them can be considered above average and only one of the two (May 26 at home vs Oakland) can be considered excellent.  In the other 5 starts he allowed  a total  of 30 earned runs over 21 2/3 innings.  The cross country trip could also have an adverse effect on the the timing of the Yankees hitters who have been awesome of late, scoring 55 total runs in the past 5 games (all at home).  The Angels have been neutral on offense  the past 10 games and this price is a bit to high for the Yankees given Tanaka's form and the travel factors.
