BOTTOM LINE: LA is among the worst teams in MLB against lefties and they're facing a pretty good one this afternoon in Jon Lester.  Lester has only had two bad starts recently, and they were road starts at Detroit and Miami.  Detroit & Miami just happen to be the #2 and #3 teams in MLB against lefties.  The Dodgers are at the opposite end of that spectrum, averaging a paltry 2.8 runs per game against southpaws.  It doesn't help their cause that Lester has pitched very well in his four starts under the sun (1.75 ERA, 1.09 WHIP).  On the flip side, LA's Carlos Frias has struggled mightily in his four daytime starts (9.28 ERA, 1.64 WHIP).  I rate the bullpens about even when looking at overall number and recent performance, but the Cubs pen rates the edge when looking at home/road splits.  Just a bad matchup against a very solid lefty for a Dodgers team struggling to score runs over the last ten games or so.  My money is on Mr. Lester and the CHICAGO CUBS.
