I always wanted to be a sports agent, a coach or a GM. Something sports related. I come from a sports oriented family but was dissuaded from pursuing many careers in sports.
During graduate school, I tried to become a volunteer manager on the basketball team but was turned down. I sent out dozens of resumes to teams and never got an interview.
Therefore, I settled for a successful career in medical device and biotech.
In 2008 after quitting my job, a failed business venture led me to playing poker in my spare time. Since then I have spent a lot of time playing poker and betting sports. More importantly, i've invested thousands of hours in researching and building models to beat both.
As a poker player from 2008-2015 I lived in Boston, Chicago, Las Vegas, San Francisco and Cebu, Philippines. My tournament winnings total over $2m and I have 2 Sunday major wins online. My top ranking for tournaments at my level was 7th in the world.
In sports betting I have won multiple weekly contests for over $10k each and a free NCAA basketball contest with thousands of entrants for $5000. Through multiple partnerships and my own handicapping I have beaten the house in 10 of the last 11 years.
I plan to start a website to help others in their own gambling (poker, sports and other) with tips for success and sharing mistakes I made along the way.
