Arizona is the biggest favorite of any remaining team in the tournament, barely edging North Carolina by the hook. The Wildcats are facing a Xavier team that has surprised many in reaching the Sweet 16 as an 11th seed. The Musketeers have been playing without point guard Edmond Sumner for some time now, but they seem to have galvanized as a group and are playing strong basketball at this point.
Xavier picked up the biggest win in the tournament when they blew out third-seeded Florida State last weekend. That game certainly raised some eyebrows as the Musketeers shot better than 55 percent, including knocking down 11 triples while also out-rebounding Florida State.
Yet, the Musketeers are getting no love in this matchup. Despite beating a better team the last time they took to the floor, Xavier finds itself as a huge dog to the Wildcats.
Arizona has a big advantage down low with Lauri Markkanen and Dusan Ristic. Their inside presence should allow for open shots on the perimeter from Allonzo Trier and company, though the Wildcats are not a team that relies a lot on the 3-pointer.
Defense could be huge in this one as well, and that favors Arizona.
