College Basketball Odds
Michigan State -7
Total: 140.5 points
Michigan State is looking to make another NCAA Tournament appearance, but they’re going to have to beat Ohio State tonight to help. The Spartans do not have an impressive resume and are 15-10 overall, a loss here to Ohio State would only bruise a resume that is already just kind of mediocre.
Ohio State is 5-8 in Big Ten play, two losses the last four games both came against Maryland. The Buckeyes are not a good road team at 3-6, but they do have those three wins away from home so that should help here. Ohio State also owns a previous win over Michigan State this season, sweeping them would certainly make Thad Matta and the Buckeyes pleased.
MSU needs Miles Bridges to play well. OSU needs Jae’Sean Tate to play well and get consistent perimeter play from Marc Loving. The Buckeyes are talented but really have no depth.
Michigan State doesn’t have much depth either. Neither team is great in efficiency numbers as well, which is probably why they both are struggling this season. Ohio State has the starting five to play within the point spread here.
