The Oregon Ducks are hosting the Arizona Wildcats in college basketball action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The college basketball odds for the game have the Ducks favored by a slim margin to pick up the victory at home.

So this should be fun. Oregon and Arizona are fighting for the top overall spot in the Pac 12 standings, the Wildcats currently hold onto that spot with a 10-0 conference record. Oregon is right behind them at 9-1, making this contest a sure-fire battle for first place.
Arizona has been very strong all season, the defense is key to their success. Wildcat opponents have scored just under 63 points per game this season, only UCLA has topped the 75-point plateau against them in conference play. Sean Miller's club has really benefitted from Alonzo Trier being allowed back on the floor as he is a 15-point per game player that impacts the Wildcats on both ends of the floor. Oregon will have to try to slow down 7-foot freshman Lauri Markkanen as well. He's been the real deal for Arizona this season, leading the team in scoring (16.4) and rebounding (7.7) this season.
Oregon has five guys averaging double figures, led by Dillon Brooks (14.2). The Ducks haven't lost at home in two full years, but that last defeat came at the hands of Arizona. Oregon is athletic and big man Chris Boucher gives them a rim protector and strong rebounder, as does Jordan Bell.
The pace could be slow here, which has to give an edge to Arizona. With the big man Markkanen commanding a double team, the Wildcats will need to knock down shots to beat Oregon. The Ducks recently lost at Colorado and nearly slipped up at home against Colorado, a game they seemed to gloss over as the Wildcats were coming to town for this one.
Oregon is tough at home.
