The Baylor Bears are hosting the Texas Longhorns tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN2. The college basketball odds for the game have the Bears favored by double digits to pick up the win.

Baylor fell a handful of spots from No. 1 following a loss at West Virginia last week. They should be able to rebound here in a game against a Texas team that is still looking to find its footing under Shaka Smart. The Longhorns are just 7-10 in Smart’s second season as the coach and have only one win in five conference days to date.

The Bears were the second to last team to lose a game this season, Gonzaga is still unbeaten and should continue to pick up wins under Mark Few. Baylor’s recent loss could have derailed their season, but the Bears picked up a win over Kansas State on Saturday and another win here would move them to 5-1 in conference play.

Texas is tied with Oklahoma for the next to last spot in the Big 12, they’re the only two teams that are under .500 overall in the league as well. Smart has some talent on this club but right now the Longhorns look to be in a lost season.

The Horns have dropped three straight overall and five of the last six overall. Going on the road and beating Baylor won’t be an easy task. Texas does not rebound well, their defense is decent but Baylor’s is pretty solid. The Bears can rebound the ball and that could be a big impact here.

Even so, 14 points in a game like this where the total is so low looks like a decent option.
