The Villanova Wildcats are hosting the Xavier Musketeers in college basketball action tonight. The game is scheduled for a 7:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX Sports 1. The college basketball odds for the game have the Wildcats favored to pick up the win at home.

Villanova fell from the top spot in the polls because of a road loss last week, but that seems like a bit of an overreaction. The Wildcats are an excellent basketball team that will certainly rebound from the loss at Butler last weekend. Villanova actually played a game in between, a 12-point home win over Marquette where the Wildcats posted 93 points.
Xavier is an excellent story as well. The Musketeers lost consecutive games earlier this season to Colorado and Baylor, since they have won six consecutive games, including three in a row in Big East action. The Musketeers are the only team with an unblemished record in Big East action, Trevon Bluiett leads them in scoring at better than 17.5 points per game.
Josh Hart leads the Wildcats at nearly 20 points a game, he came back for his senior season at Villanova and has scored in double figures every game this season. A win here for the Wildcats would be their 46th in a row at home, which would tie a school record. They’re solid on both ends of the floor, but so is Xavier. This should be an excellent contest.
