Derek Carr loves to throw the football down the field for big plays, which is the opposite of what the Chiefs do. Alex Smith is Captain Checkdown and the Chiefs look to move down the field five or six yards at a time with short passes and the run game. The opposites should make for a great dynamic tonight in this contest.
KC owns 18 victories the last 21 regular season games and they lead the league with 25 turnovers forced on defense. They’re plus-14 in the turnover differential as well which is the best in the NFL, but that doesn’t separate them enough from the Raiders, who are third in the league at plus-12.
Overall the Chiefs might have the better defense, getting a stop or two could be the difference here.
