The Minnesota Vikings are hosting the Dallas Cowboys on Thursday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:25 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. The NFL Odds for the game have the Cowboys favored by a field goal to pick up the victory on the road.
NFL Odds
Dallas -3
Total: 43.5 points
Dallas might be the best team in pro football. The Cowboys have won 10 in a row, out-scored opponents by 103 points this season (which leads the league) and lead the NFC East over the New York Giants by two wins, though the G Men are the only team to beat Dallas this season.
Ezekiel Elliot and Dak Prescott are continuing to play far beyond their years as rookies and both are probably going to be considered as MVP candidates. The two have led Dallas to a 5-0 road record so far this season, which is certainly impressive, and now they have to find a way to win this game over Minnesota to remain atop the mountain.
The Vikings are in second place behind the Detroit Lions in the NFC North and own two losses from Detroit on the year. This Minnesota club has been very strong in home games this season, winning four of their five games.
Sam Bradford is going to have to limit turnovers and put points on the board anyway they can. Minnesota’s home field advantage is very solid, but their inability to run the football at all is a problem. Being one dimensional against a solid Cowboys defense won’t help them either.
But when will this Dallas run hit a bump in the road? This Viking defense is solid and allows just 17.5 points per game. Minnesota needs a win and they’re playing at home with a chance to really showcase themselves.
