Atlanta comes into this game as the continued highest-scoring team in the league at 32 points a game. They’re the only team averaging better than 30 points a game in the NFL, but a stingy Arizona defense will be the key in this one. The Cardinals are one of the Top 10 scoring defenses in the league in allowing only 19 points a game, but they have dropped two of three and only beat San Francisco by a field goal.
David Johnson has been strong all season coming out of the backfield. The Falcons are a middle of the road team against the run this season, so expect Johnson to get a ton of carries in this one as the Falcons haven’t proven to be able to keep the run under control.
Matt Ryan to Julio Jones might be the best tandem in the league, but they will be tested here by Patrick Peterson and the Arizona secondary. The Cardinals are just 1-3 in road games this season, one of those losses was last week at Minnesota where they didn’t play well.
Atlanta being a big favorite here is a bit surprising, but with the Crardinal struggling in road contests, the Falcons certainly have the advantage. They might not get to that 32 points they average against Arizona’s defense and the Cardinals have to find a way to get into the win column here. Johnson could have a huge game against that bad Falcon rush defense.
