The LSU Tigers and Florida Gators are taking to the SEC College Football field on Saturday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on the SEC Network. Two excellent defenses here. This game is rescheduled from Oct. 8 when Hurricane Matthew looked to wreak havoc all over the Eastern seaboard, but never actually made it to the site of this game. While many were up in arms about them moving the game, none of it matters anymore as we get this game now.
LSU is playing a whole lot better than they were back in early October. Les Miles was fired and Ed Orgeron was tabbed as the guy to lead the team and has done so, going 4-1 with the lone loss coming in 10-0 fashion to Alabama.
Florida has no real offense to hang its hat on, they average just over 26 points per game for the year but have scored 24, 10 and 20 points in going 2-1 the last three games against Georgia, Arkansas and South Carolina.
The Gators can afford to lose this game but still make it to the SEC title game. But without a real threatening offense they rely heavily on the defense. LSU will look to attack them with Leonard Fournette running the ball repeatedly.
The total is certainly low because of great defenses and subar offenses, but LSU is playing very well right now. Remember, former Purdue quarterbacks are starting for each team in this one.
