This seems like a bit of an overreaction to LSU playing Alabama so tough last week. Arkansas is a solid football team and catching a full touchdown at home against an LSU team that isn’t great offensively seems like an ideal situation. Ed Orgeron looks like the guy for LSU, but he needs to help get his team up for this one.
In each of the last two years where Alabama beat LSU the Tigers have struggled (and lost) in games to Arkansas. The Hogs have really been through a tough schedule this season, this game against LSU ends a streak of five straight ranked opponents in conference play. Arkansas went 2-2 those first four and a win here would have to make the Hogs feel solid about being 6-3 with a pair of winnable road games on deck.
Austin?Allen has been a star at quarterback for Arkansas, which certainly has the edge at that position over the Tigers. Rawleigh Williams III is also a load at tailback for the Hogs, he’s certainly going to get a ton of carries in this one. LSU?has to bring an effort in this game that is comparable to last week in order to win.
Leonard Fournette was shut down for the third time against the Alabama defense, but he should be able to get some work in here if the Tigers are ready to go. Still, Arkansas is getting overlooked here.
