The game of the weekend in college football takes place tonight when the top-ranked Alabama Crimson Tide are traveling to take on the LSU Tigers. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. The college football odds for the game have the Crimson Tide favoredto pick up the win on the road.

Alabama and LSU have showcased some of the better games in recent memory. Now we get to look at another chapter in the rivalry and even though Les Miles is no longer a part of this spectacle, the Tigers firmly believe they can win the football game.
LSU has a wealth of talent and they are arguably just as physical as the Crimson Tide when it comes to play on the field. The Tigers defense has been lights out all season and its only given up eight touchdowns through seven full games.
Many people may have forgotten about LSU after its first two losses on the season, but those came to Wisconsin and Auburn by a combined seven points. Both of those teams are ranked inside the Top 10.
Alabama has been the golden standard for college football programs under Nick Saban. They play defense, score non-offensive touchdowns, methodically move the football down the field and don’t beat themselves. That’s a big part of the blueprint for Saban’s success and it’s something the Crimson Tide will look to do again.
LSU’s Leonard Fournette hasn’t had a ton of success against Alabama and in order for him to have a good one tonight, the Tigers cannot remain one-dimensional. Strong quarterback play will be needed along with quality defense.
LSU is good enough to pull the upset, now they find a way to hang around in this one.
