Seattle is looking like it could once again be a power in the NFC this season. Atlanta is coming off a huge win last weekend in Denver, knocking off the defending Super Bowl champion Broncos. The Falcons have taken the NFL?by a bit of a surprise this season, sitting in first place in the NFC?South with three victories in road games to open the season.
Matt Ryan has been lights out as well, leading the Falcons to four straight victories with 12 touchdown passes and just two interceptions with a 69 completion rate. Julio Jones has been a monster at receiver as well, hauling in 24 catches and coming off a huge game last week where he went over 300 yards. Seattle has won both of their games at home this season and had a bye last week, which should help Russell Wilson get back to being healthy.
When Wilson is on, especially in home games, the Seahawks are really tough to beat. Seattle will run the ball, not turn it over and look consistent on offense. It seems they’re accustomed to doing so while being at home. The defense could be the deciding factor, though. Atlanta has been able to get some solid play from tailbacks Tevin Coleman and Devonta Freeman. The two have been a 1-2 punch with Freeman running the rock and Coleman catching passes out of the backfield.
What we typically see in games like this is Atlanta struggling in this one and Seattle flexing itself and picking up the win. The Seahawks defense is giving up less than two touchdowns a game and they’ve only allowed one passing score on the season as well.
