The Oklahoma Sooners are hosting the Kansas State Wildcats in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Oklahoma has really turned its season around with a pair of wins over TCU and Texas the past few weeks. The defense did them no favors in those wins by yielding a total of 86 points, but the Sooners have been able to turn a 1-2 start around and they are now 3-2, plus they’ve stayed with Baylor atop the Big 12 standings.

Oklahoma should win its next four games (this one included) which should get them to 7-2 overall and unbeaten still in the conference before they host Baylor on November 12.

Kansas State is a sneaky-good team that plays well enough defensively to have a chance in this game. The Wildcats are giving up just over 17 points per game, and they’ve held everybody except Texas Tech under 27 points with only Stanford breaking the 20-point mark with 26 in the season opener. Kansas State will have some added incentive as well for this one as last year the Sooners blasted them 55-0.

Baker Mayfield and the Sooners have played better offensively the last two weeks, but there is a lot of pressure on them because a loss here would certainly put a damper on the season. Oklahoma really can’t afford a conference loss with a handful of tough games remaining.
