The New Orleans Saints are hosting the Atlanta Falcons on Monday Night Football. The game is scheduled for an 8:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. The NFL Odds for the game have the Saints favored by around a field goal.
NFL Odds
New Orleans -2.5
Total: 53.5 points
The New Orleans Saints have started the season with an 0-2 record, but those defeats came by a combined four points to the Oakland Raiders and New York Giants. The Saints could easily by 2-0 on the season but now have to battle back to try and find a way to reach the playoffs.
A win here would fix everything. Atlanta is 1-1 on the campaign while both Tampa Bay and Carolina are 1-2 on the season. A victory here for the Saints would make all four teams 1-2 on the year.
Drew Brees is getting older, but he can still get it done. The Saints have won four of the last five matchups with Atlanta in New Orleans, a place where Brees obviously loves to play.
On the other side, Matt Ryan loves playing in domes and Julio Jones is expected to play tonight. He’s arguably the best receiver in the league and with the Saints being banged up on the defensive side of the football, the Falcons should be able to move the football effectively.
Both teams should be able to get up and down the field here. If they can avoid turnovers, the points should be posted without a problem in this one.
