The New York Giants are hosting the Washington Redskins in NFL Football action on Sunday afternoon. The game is scheduled for a 1:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on FOX. The NFL Odds for the game have the Giants favored to pick up the win at home.

The marquee matchup in this game will feature Odell Beckham Jr. and Josh Norman. Washington paid a lot of money to bring Norman into the nation’s capital, but so far it hasn’t paid off. The Redskins are 0-2 on the season and both of those games came at home.

SO now we find a Reskins team in much need of a victory. Falling to 0-3 makes it nearly impossible to reach the playoffs in the NFL, especially with as tough a schedule as they have this year. Washington still has to play eight games on the road (obviously) and there is a stretch at the end of the year where they travel in four of the last six games. In other words, getting a win here would be very big for the team, especially with taking on Cleveland next week.

But this is a different Giants team, it appears. They haven’t really played well offensively and find themselves 2-0. Getting Beckham the football in situations where Norman is lined up opposite of him becomes a priority.

Eli Manning has looked very strong, completing 74 percent of his passes to open the season. He’s been sacked four times, which needs to improve, and the Giants have to begin running the football more effectively.

Overall, New York is better on both sides of the ball and getting to 3-0 would be big for this squad.
