The Baylor Bears are hosting the Oklahoma State Cowboys in college football action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 7:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on FOX. The college football odds for the game have the Bears favored to pick up the victory at home.

This is the first true test for Baylor on the season. The Bears cruised in wins over Northwestern State, SMU and Rice as the program continues to pick up the pieces from scandals uncovered during the off-season. Back on the football field, Seth Russell and the Bears are going to have to take it up a notch with this game.
Playing at Rice last Friday night was certainly a tune-up type game for the Bears. The Cowboys are a crazy Hail Mary that shouldn’t have happened away from being 3-0 on the season, though they should be credited for picking up a big win over Pittsburgh last week coming off that loss.
Mason Rudolph has already eclipsed 1,000 yards on the season with six touchdowns, but Oklahoma State has to be able to find a running game if they are going to compete in the Big 12 this season. The Cowboys have averaged just 3.1 yards per carry, though they do have a big-play threat in Rennie Childs.
James Washington is an excellent guy on the outside as well for the Pokes, he’s averaged 21 yards per reception this season. Baylor will certainly have to key on him and Childs defensively, but can Oklahoma State play well enough on both sides of the football to hang around here?
This looks like a potential breakout game for the Bears.
