The San Jose Sharks are hosting the Pittsburgh Penguins tonight in Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Finals. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on NBC. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Sharks favored to pick up the win.

San Jose picked up a must win on Saturday night in this series, 3-2, in overtime. The Game 3 victory allows the Sharks to stay alive as Joonas Donskoi found the back of the net to put the Sharks on the board in the series. Now, down 2-1, San Jose has a chance to even things up heading back to Pittsburgh.

Playing in the team's first Cup finals, San Jose has handled it well. A pair of one-goal defeats to the Penguins in the opening two games of the series could have gone either way and the Sharks have to feel pretty good about where they are heading into tonight. While certainly picking up a win on the road in Pittsburgh would have been better, they were in both games and have been able to bring that solid play back to the West Coast.

Martin Jones has been impressive in between the pipes for the Sharks. His continued strong play will be needed for San Jose to have a shot in this series, to date he's saved 94 percent of the shots faced during the finals. 

Two of the three games have ended in overtime, the other was decided in the final few minutes. Pittsburgh has to veterans now in Sidney Crosby and Evgeni Malkin that have played in huge games like this before, though neither has been able to score a goal in the series. For the Penguins to be ahead despite neither of them scoring is impressive.

In tonight's game, specialty units will once again be important. The Sharks will need solid play from Joe Thornton, Joe Pavelski and their important players. They've been a strong team on home ice during the playoffs in winning eight of 10 contests and tonight they need to notch another one.
