NBA Playoff Odds
Golden State -7
Total: 218 points
Oklahoma City had a chance to advance to the NBA Finals with a win the other day, but the Thunder weren't able to close out the Warriors. Ending a defending champions run is never easy, Klay Thompson and Golden State made sure there would be a seventh and deciding game.
Kevin Durant did not play well in Game 6, connecting on just 10-of-31 shots. Russell Westbrook wasn't any better, making just 10-of-27 shots himself. OKC got out-scored 33-18 in the final quarter as the Warriors put on a heavy dose of pressure and made shots. Even Steph Curry finished with a double-double at 31 points and 10 boards, he needed just one assist for the triple-double but ended with nine.
The difference in the game proved to be from the 3-point-line, where Thompson made 11-of-18 triples and Golden State as a team made an astounding 21-of-44 from downtown. Oklahoma City was dreadful from behind the arc, making just three attempts on 23 shots. The seven-point loss now looks even more of a problem for the Thunder as a handful of made triples could easily have swung the game.
Golden State has won two straight in this series, a third consecutive win gives us a repeat NBA Finals as the Warriors would take on Cleveland. Oklahoma City is going to have to get an impressive performance from both Durant and Westbrook to even have a chance tonight.
