Portland Trail Blazers at Golden State Warriors NBA Playoff Odds

The Golden State Warriors are hosting the Portland Trail Blazers tonight in Game 5 of the NBA Playoffs. The game is scheduled for a 10:30 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on TNT. Currently the NBA Playoff Odds for the game have the Warriors favored to pick up the win.

NBA Playoff Odds
Golden State -13
Total: 217.5 points

Steph Curry, the first unanimous MVP in NBA history, is back. He didn't have a great Game 4, but still finished with 40 points, including 17 in overtime as he ripped the hearts out of Portland fans. Curry, who is viewed as the lovable, adorable new face of the NBA, has reached new heights and when you get to that level, there's obviously some moxy and pride behind the cute face.

With Curry on the floor, the Warriors are clearly the best team in the league. He played 37 minutes against Portland in Game 4 and still didn't look completely comfortable, but even at 90 percent he makes the Warriors nearly unbeatable. Golden State is just a single win away from reaching the conference finals and they get to play in front of their home crowd tonight, where they lost just twice during the regular season and have won all five times during the playoffs.

Portland is a nice young team, but they absolutely blew a golden opportunity to win Game 4 with a less than 100 percent Curry on the floor. Curry missed his first nine 3-point attempts and was just 6 of 18 from the field through three quarters, but Portland wasn't good enough to be able to put the game out of reach. The Blazers also had a shot to win Game 2, but they were outscored by 22 points in the fourth quarter in the loss.

Golden State has won seven straight games when they have a chance to close out a playoff series at home. There's no reason to think they can make it eight.
