The Toronto Blue Jays are taking on the Baltimore Orioles tonight in Major League Baseball action. The game is scheduled for a 7:05 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on MLB.tv. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Orioles listed as a small favorite to pick up the win.

Baltimore was the hottest team in the league to start the season, they still remain 2.5 games ahead of both Boston and Toronto in the American League East standings. That makes tonight's game an important one, albeit early in the regular season. 

These teams have split each of the previous two meetings in the last few days, Baltimore won last night on a walk-off wild pitch in the 10th inning. Both games ended in 4-3 final scores, which seem to be a bit low-scoring for these two offenses. Either way, the games have been solid and tonight should be more of the same.

Chris Tillman gets the ball for Baltimore, he's 1-1 with a 5.11 ERA so far this season, but he is coming off a loss at Texas where he surrendered six earned runs on nine hits in a loss. Tillman beat Tampa Bay earlier this season, a game where he scattered four hits and allowed one run. Baltimore is hoping he can remain consistent with the start against the Rays.

Current Blue Jays are hitting .318 against Tillman in 214 at bats, they have clubbed 16 home runs with Jose Bautista, Edwin Encarnacion and Kevin Pillar all having three career bombs. 

Toronto will start Marco Estrada, he's 1-1 with a 2.77 ERA on the season. Estrada lost his most recent start at Boston, giving up four earned runs over six innings of work where he scattered eight hits. Estrada actually beat the Red Sox in his initial start to the season.

Current Orioles are hitting .182 against Estrada over 88 at bats. A handful of players have home runs against him, but nobody has more than three hits over the course of their careers against him. Small sample sizes, but Estrada has been able to hang in there.

With so many Jays having solid numbers against Tillman, they should take a solid approach tonight.
