NCAA Basketball continues on the NCAA Tournament on Sunday night when the top-seeded Oregon Ducks take on the Saint Joseph’s Hawks. The game is going to be played in Spokane Arena in Spokane, Washington where it has a 9:40 p.m. (Eastern) start time and it will be televised nationally on TBS. The Vegas odds for the game have the Ducks favored by 6.5 points to pick up the win.
Oregon looked very impressive during a blowout win over Holy Cross on Friday. The Ducks posted 91 points, led by Chris Boucher’s 20 points as he led four players in double figures, Oregon also had two guys finish with nine points and one with eight. The balanced attack will be trouble for Saint Joseph’s tonight as Oregon has athletic players all over the floor that can rebound, score and defend.
Saint Joseph’s has an amazing player in DeAndre’ Bembry, he poured in 23 points in the team’s win over Cincinnati in the opening round. The Hawks nearly gave up a game-tying dunk as time expired in that one, but Cincinnati’s Octavius Ellis still had the ball in his hands as he was jamming it through the rim. Because of that, Saint Joseph’s marches on to face the top-seeded Ducks.
Tyler Dorsey gives Oregon a strong point guard that will keep the Ducks running tonight. Oregon wants to play at a fast pace and get a ton of possessions, taking advantage of their athleticism and length. Oregon had just seven turnovers in the team’s win over Holy Cross, which gave them an added boost in being efficient with the basketball.
The Ducks are very talented, have great players on all five spots on the floor and they will pick up a win here tonight.
