The Yale Bulldogs are the talk of the NCAA Tournament and on Saturday they will play in the second round against the Duke Blue Devils. The game is being played inside Dunkin Donuts Center in Providence, Rhode Island and will have a start time of 2:40 p.m. while being televised nationally on CBS. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Blue Devils favored to pick up the victory by a handful of possessions.

The total here is listed at 146, which means this game should be played at a pretty quick pace. Duke looked strong in the second half against UNC Wilmington in the opening round, they finished the game by eclipsing the 90-point plateau. The bad news for Blue Devils fans is they surrendered 85 points to a 13 seed, Duke just hasn’t been able to play well enough defensively all year to be considered a legitimate title contender.

Yale knocked out Baylor in the opening round, the Bulldogs played well in the second half despite having some starters on the bench and took advantage of a Bears team that couldn’t rebound. If Yale brings the same type of effort in this one, they could be good enough to advance to the next round, but it won’t be an easy task.

Duke is not a deep team, but they have a very strong six-man rotation that is led by athletic big man and youngster Brandon Ingram, who had 20 points in the opening round. Grayson Allen was a 22-point per game scorer during the regular season as well, he tossed in 23 points while adding 10 rebounds against Wilmington.

This line looks like a gift, Duke should be able to play well enough against a slower paced team to get the win. Yale is a great story, but Duke is just better.
