NCAA?Basketball continues on Saturday night when the top-seeded North?Carolina Tar Heels take on the ninth-seeded Providence Friars. The game will be played inside the PNC?Arena in?Raleigh, North?Carolina and it has a start time of 9:40 p.m. (Eastern), where it will be televised nationally on?TBS. Currently the NCAA?Tournament Odds for the game have the Tar Heels favored by 10 points to pick up the win with the total hovering above 150 points.

Providence got a great in over USC on Thursday night, a layup by Rodney Bullock with 1.5 seconds remaining gave the Friars the win. Ben Bentil and Kris Dunn each had double figures in that game as well, giving the Friars a much-needed win in the openign round of the tournament. North?Carolina had no issues with Florida Gulf Coast, once the second half came around.

The Tar Heels led by just a single point at halftime but ran away with the game in the second 20 minutes. Brice Johnson led the Tar Heels with 18 points in the opening game, he was one of five Carolina players in double digits. Defensively, the Tar Heels rank 15th in the country in efficiency ratings, Providence comes in 27th in the country.

Both will have to play well in this game if their respective teams are going to win.?North?Carolina is a very good offensive club, Roy Williams’ group ranks sixth nationally in scoring 119.4 points per 100 possessions. If this game gets into an up and down style, North?Carolina has the edge. Providence can play fast but with Dunn running the show, the Friars are going to want to get the best possessions possible with Bentil moving around and not being stagnant.

Carolina is so big up front that rebounding is going to be a problem for the Friars, who will have to shoot it well in order to hang around. That won’t be easy against North?Carolina’s length. Marcus Paige needs to run the show for the Heels and keep them in a comfortable.
