The Kentucky Wildcats are on the road in SEC College Basketball action today, taking on the Vanderbilt Commodores. The game is scheduled for a 4:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on CBS. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Wildcats favored by a single point on the road to get the win.

Kentucky dropped a tough match last Saturday at Texas A&M, but rebounded well to beat up on Alabama this week. The Wildcats look like a dangerous team moving forward into the conference and NCAA tournaments, a team that could be dangerous.

Tyler Ulis is one of the best point guards in the country, having a deadly shooter like Jamal Murray makes Kentucky’s back court very strong. When Kentucky also gets solid play on the interior they are very tough to beat and they will be looking for a big road win here tonight.

Kentucky’s numbers have not been the best on the road, where they’ve won just three of nine contests. The best road wins on the season both came in the Top 50 though as the Wildcats own victories over Alabama and South Carolina.

Vanderbilt needs a win to help the resume out. The Commodores will have to play well defensively here tonight as Kentucky is one of the best offensive teams in the country in terms of efficiency. The Commodores do have some good wins at home this season, but a victory over Kentucky would be the best of the season. Vandy is battling for a spot in the NCAA Tournament and has a good shot with a win here, especially after victories the last two games over Georgia and Florida. Even with those wins, the Commodores don’t match up talent wise with this athletic Kentucky team.
