The Kansas Jayhawks are hosting the Texas Tech Red Raiders in Big 12 College Basketball action on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised nationally on ESPN. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Jayhawks favored to pick up the victory at home.
Kansas owns the best RPI in the country, they enter Saturday’s game ranked inside the Top 5 once again and the Jayhawks are looking to win an impressive ninth straight game overall. Bill Self’s team still hasn’t lost at home yet this season, which gives them a distinct advantage over Texas Tech.
The Red Raiders have a Top 25 RPI team this season with six wins against the Top 50, but they have not been good on the road with three wins in eight chances. They have picked up two pretty solid wins in consecutive chances, though, beating both Baylor and Oklahoma State by double digits in road games.
Kansas looks like they are going to be a No. 1 seed in the NCAA Tournament this year. The Jayhawks have consistently been a strong club this year, playing at home in this timeslot looks like a bad position for Texas Tech. The win at Baylor is the best road victory on the year for Texas Tech, but playing at Phog Allen is a different animal. Five straight wins for Texas Tech should give the Red Raiders some confidence heading into this one, but it’s going to be a tough stretch.
Kansas is too good here, the Jayhawks will be riding the momentum of two straight tough road wins and beat up on Texas Tech.
