The Arizona State Sun Devils are hosting the USC Trojans tonight in college basketball action. The game is scheduled for an 8:00 p.m. start time and it will be televised live on the Pac-12 Network. Currently the betting odds for the game have the Trojans favored by a single possession on the road.
USC comes in ranked 23rd in the country and the Trojans are having a strong season, earning a Top 25 RPI as well. The resume isn’t loaded with a ton of good wins but they do have three over Top 50 teams and six more Top 100 wins as well. The Trojans have knocked off hometown rival UCLA twice and have done well enough on the road (3-3) to stay in second place in the Pac-12 standings.
Oregon is the only team ahead of USC in those conference standings, but they have two additional wins in the left column. A win here for USC would help keep them alive in the standings, they’ve already lost once to Oregon this year but play the Ducks in the final game of the regular season as well.
Arizona State has two wins over Top 50 RPI squads in Texas A&M and Oregon State, this would be a big one for the Sun Devils. They’ve struggled a bit at home this season with some tough losses, including Sacramento State. The Sun Devils are just 2-5 overall their last seven games and 4-8 the last 12 as the season has gotten tough in the desert.
USC has won three straight and nine of the last 12 games overall, they are the better team right now. Conference road games can be tough, but this Trojan team is poised to pick up a victory tonight.
